The Grand Market is one of many programs and initiatives created and operated by the New Rochelle Business Improvement District (BID), a not-for-profit organization whose express purpose is enriching our beautiful downtown for the entire New Rochelle community.
Funded by downtown property and business owners, the New Rochelle BID works to preserve the charm of historic downtown, recruit private investment and businesses, attract shoppers, assure clean and safe streets and parking, and create exciting downtown activities and events. The BID has attracted more than $100 million in private taxpaying development. It sponsors an award winning façade and historic restoration program that improves scores of building facades and storefronts. It also provides a seven day a week staff to keep downtown free of litter through its Clean Streets Program, and it offers scores of free public events ranging from BID Family Days, Music on the Green, Ring in the New Year, and now, the New Rochelle Grand Market.
The BID does this because we believe in our downtown and recognize that Main Street is the living room of our community. Downtown New Rochelle is an urban center with a small hometown feel and personality. And in today’s world, that’s special. Please join us downtown.
